Holiday day 2 - Sunday 11th September.

I couldn't really let this day pass without sparing a thought for the same day 10 years previous. We read the news about the rememberence events and sat and chatted about where we all were on that day and how horrific it was. Thought about those who had died and their families.

We decided it was best to have a lazy day. Niamh had her breakfast nice and early, she had been okay to settle the previous night, but worried that she wasn't getting enough fluid as she refused to drink much milk and has always found that she's not keen on juice. So we went back up to three puree's a day and fed her watermelon with practically every meal. We had a brunch of bacon and egg sarnies, yummy! Niamh made a right mess at everymeal time because the highchair they had allowed her to sit further foward so she could launch stuff clear across the room! This landed her in the sink after nearly every meal:

We had a lazy morning and went for a swim, Niamh got to wear her new wetsuit for the first time, that Angela and Karl had bought her back from their holiday to Cornwall. She was very proud of herself in it, with her bandana, of course, I couldn't resist the erge to make her into a gnome:

Before going in the big people's swimming we gave her a chance to "warm up" in her little paddling pool we had bought with us:

Later on me and dad went to hire a buggy that had a recline option, because the one that we rented with the villa would have left her bolt upright all the time. We hired a quinney buzz, which was lightish, easy to push but a bit complicated sometimes.

Niamh had her lunch, which was a pouch of puree, and a cream cheese sandwhich with he first ever ice cream for desert:

In the afternoon we went for another swim and me and Niamh had a nap. I discovered that baby floatation aids do, infact make good lilos:

We went out for a meal in the evening, and Niamh sat and ate with us. Niamh also made friends with a couple of the locals:

Sorry the entry isn't very interesting, but it was a very chilled out day, which I really needed after the travelling the day before.
